Since it was founded in 2011, Lydia’s Legacy has granted more than $60,000 in research funds for gynecologic cancers. Our commitment to advancing research is fueled by the lack of early detection tests for all gynecologic cancers except cervical cancer. Additionally, a majority of gynecologic cancers are not detected until advanced stages when they are much more difficult to treat and survival rates are low.

At the Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte, NC, a patient library has been named in honor of Lydia's Legacy in recognition of our financial contributions and ongoing partnership with LCI to advance gynecologic cancer programs, support and research. This library provides books, magazines, puzzle books and other reading materials which help cancer patients pass the time as they are undergoing chemotherapy. If you are interested in donating books to the library, please contact us.
